The Spiritual State of Carnality Opens us up for Demonic Attacks!

The enemy has to bring us into a state of carnality in order to ensnare our souls.

What brings us into a state of carnality: ignorance, unresisted sin, and disobedience.
Unresisted sin and a carnal mind bring us into a spiritual state of carnality. It's a gateway to demonic attacks and infiltration. The carnal mind is hostile towards God and can lead to spiritual death according to Romans 8:6. This is why the Lord instructs us to renew our minds and to cast down every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
The enemy is after our souls. Our soul is the seat of our mind, will, and emotions. These are areas that are heavily targeted by the enemy. He comes to kill, steal and destroy and goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Be reminded that the great battle is for our souls.
Most of the attacks that target our souls are covert (covered, hidden from us, and shrouded in deception).
Applying the word of God and obedience along with our spiritual weapons are our only defense!
  • Renew your mind!
  • Cast down thoughts!
  • Study to show thyself approved!
  • Resist temptations!
  • Fast and Pray! Pray some more! Pray daily!
It's impossible to follow the Lord's instructions and remain ignorant and blind to covert attacks! He gave us warnings concerning our enemy but most importantly he gave us power and authority over ALL the power of the enemy!
The Lord our God is our refuge, strong tower, shield, buckler, and he fights our battles! Allow Him to open your spiritual eyes and sharpen your discernment to attacks, particularly covert attacks against you and your family!

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:6

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
