Spiritual Warfare

 The bible states:  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:6‭-‬7 KJV  The enemy projects carnal thoughts to our minds and sends carnally minded people into our lives as a strategy to get us distracted and away from the things of God.  The key word here is "mind". Your mind is a part of your soul. The soul is the seat of the mind, will and emotions. This is an area the enemy targets heavily because we are influence by our senses...particularly, sight, sound and touch. These areas are considered gates to our soul. That's why the bible instructs us to crucify the carnal nature (The Flesh).  So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.  Make no mistake, the spirit of divination is still in operation today...Acts 16:16 Study to show thy self approved...2 Tim 2:15 It's a power that does not want you to be close to the Lord.  It squeezes out prayer, worship, the study of God's Word and the understanding of God's Word from the mind. It's a constricting spirit that wants to squeeze out the life of God in your life.  It's hides in organizied religion and focuses on the outer appearance and sets rules (bondage) to live by in order to receive from God...which really is working for salvation or holiness when we are under grace and our righteousness is of the Lord. We have no righteousness of our own. You can't work to be righteous or holy.  This spirit inhibits worship, prayer and the reading of the word. When these things are happening the spirit of divination is in operation.  Its has somehow gained access to your life.  It has false visions and dreams and focus on the outward and not the inward...

 Major doors the enemy uses to ensnare: Ignorance Sex Food Ungodly soul ties True story: A single woman who served the Lord for years met a young Christian man from another country through social media. They became friends, even prayed together and had bible study. They eventually found themselves being more than just friends.  The woman began to have negative dreams about the young man. Not knowing the meaning of what the Lord was revealing, she prayed for him and continued the relationship.  Two months into the relationship, she found herself having virtual sex with this man. The spirit of masturbation had an open door and now she found herself in need of deliverance. Even though she never met this man in person, the soul tie gave that spirit legal access to her. The dreams served as a warning and her ignorance gave the enemy the leverage he needed to bring bondage to that area of her life.        The enemy has to bring us into a state of carnality in order to ensnare our souls. What brings us into a state of carnality: ignorance, unresisted sin, and disobedience. Unresisted sin and a carnal mind bring us into a spiritual state of carnality. It's a gateway to demonic attacks and infiltration. The carnal mind is hostile towards God and can lead to spiritual death according to Romans 8:6. This is why the Lord instructs us to renew our minds and to cast down every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. The enemy is after our souls. Our soul is the seat of our mind, will, and emotions. These are areas that are heavily targeted by the enemy. He comes to kill, steal and destroy and goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Be reminded that the great battle is for our souls.
